Dry Needling
Trigger Point Dry Needling is a Physical Therapy intervention to treat myofascial trigger points for the management of pain and improved muscular function.
Dry Needling uses a disposable thin filiform needle to penetrate the skin and stimulate underlying myofascial trigger points, muscular, and connective tissues for the management of neuromusculoskeletal pain and movement impairments. A local twitch response may be elicited.
Dry needling changes the communication between the brain and muscles, allowing the system to return to a more normal state and improving muscle movement patterns.

Appointment Types
Initial Evaluation
Each new patient will start with a 60 minute initial evaluation to diagnose their underlying conditions, assess mobility and strength, and devise a plan of care.
Follow-up Visit
Follow-up visits are geared towards addressing deficits found during the initial evaluation. Each visit will be tailored towards the patient’s individual functional goals. Follow-ups will be 50 minutes in length.
Movement Analysis
The appointment includes a thorough kinetic chain analysis to discover any dysfunction in movement patterns. This type of analysis is beneficial for the prevention of injury and helps to promote longevity in sport or fitness.
Dry Needling Only
Dry Needling only appointments are for established patients, with an on-going plan of care to address myofascial concerns. Appointments will be 30 minutes in length.
Longevity Physical Therapy & Wellness will not accept insurance as a method of payment.
If requested, each patient will be provided with the appropriate paperwork to submit to their insurance company for review of out-of-network benefits. Payments from Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) will be accepted.
